Yippee! It's Way To Go Wednesday!
This will probably be my favorite theme day of the week. Why? Because I love hearing POSITIVE news! How often do you ever hear that when flipping around the TV or radio dial? My guess would be very seldom! This is the reason that I choose not to watch the news, read the paper, etc. I do receive breaking news updates on my computer at work M-F, and if anything earth-shattering happens beyond that, I'm sure someone will tell me! I am much happier since I stopped bombarding myself with constant negativity. It's a personal choice that each individual needs to make, based upon what's right for them.
So, back to "Way to Go Wednesday!" Let's just call this your "positive news channel!" This is the day to share good news! Be it your own good news (you got a new job, won the lottery, found the most perfect pair of ruby slippers - whatever made you happy today!) - or news that you heard/read somewhere else that you would like to share!

I don't know about you, but reading or hearing positive news makes my whole attitude improve within a split second!
I truly wonder how different our world would be if our society (and especially our media) focused their time and energy on finding the good in life. We have a local 24-hour local news channel that provides a detailed weather update every 10 minutes...6 times per hour...144 times per day. Ummm...do we really need 144 weather updates within a 24-hour period? Yeah, just a wee bit excessive, in my book! How about a positive news clip 144 times a day, instead? I'm eagerly awaiting the day when a 24-hour positive news channel (that is not a "religious" channel) crops up on TV. Maybe then, I'll consider watching television again!
See you again tomorrow for "Thankful Thursday."
Go forth & create a day filled with love, laughter & magic!
Hugs,
Kim

Kim's Thoughts: April 7th...
I would like to share a story that truly helped lift my spirits this week. I learned about a young girl named Hanna. 3 years ago, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Burkitt's Lymphoma, and was given just days to live. She went through months of intense chemotherapy, and is thriving beautifully today!
At the end of her treatment, Hanna was granted a wish to visit Disney by The Make a Wish Foundation of MA, and she was very grateful to them for this.
One day, she was in her Nana's backyard and discovered a black walnut shell that had been discarded after a squirrel had made a nice meal out of the yummy walnut meat inside. She noticed the natural heart shape that was left behind & was inspired to make something.
With her father's help, she melted crayon to fill the heart shape, and made a necklace. She then came up with the idea to make the necklaces and sell them to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of MA.
I ordered my necklace earlier this week, and can't wait to get it! The energy of it will be amazing and it will help me to remember to stay strong and live with hope in my heart; especially on my own "challenging" days!
Many blessings to your beautiful angel heart, Hanna! A big "Way to Go!" goes out to you! :)
